Choosing a Piano
All students will need a piano at home in order to practise: daily practice is recommended.
In order to get the most benefit from your piano lessons you will need to have a suitable piano at home – right from the beginning.
You have various options:
- Buy a new or second hand piano from a reputable piano shop.
- Rent an upright piano with the option to buy it. I recommend that you contact David Manson. The rental charge begins at as little as £25 per month.
- Buy a digital piano. See below for a useful link giving you lots of information on the different types of digital pianos. Please note that electronic keyboards are not suitable for exam or Festival preparation.
